I'm wondering if anyone here ever played CityLife? It was the first (I think...) city-sim made by MonteCristo, and is the predecessor to CXL. I remember being fairly fond of the game in the beginning, particularly because you started with a select amount of land, and could "aquire" more land to expand your city.
My biggest gripe was how it handled the social classes, and the social tension that resulted if you has opposing groups near each other. You couldn't turn that "feature" off - although realistic is was a wee bit of a pain for something that was supposed to be fun.
